Context

This prediction market asks whether the UK's annual inflation rate for the 12-month period ending December 2026 will land between 3.5% and 3.9%. The market resolves based on the official Consumer Price Index (CPI) report released by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), which is scheduled for January 20, 2027.

Economic news indicates that the Bank of England recently raised its interest rate to 4% in response to mounting inflation risks and external pressures such as the conflict involving Iran. Following this move, central bank forecasts suggest inflation could head toward 5% next year, while analysts weigh the possibility of further rate hikes early in 2027.
