Privacy Policy

What we do with your information, in plain English.

Last updated: 28 October 2026

The short version. There are no accounts on predictionwave. We do not sell your data or show ads. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read, and it sets cookies to do that. Our hosting provider and a few third parties (fonts, analytics and Polymarket data) receive standard technical details, like your IP address, when your browser loads the page.

Who is responsible

predictionwave.com is operated by https://predictionwave.com/, who is the controller of your personal data for the purposes of the UK GDPR and EU GDPR. You can contact us at [email protected].

What we collect

We do not ask for accounts, passwords, payment details or any sensitive personal information, and we do not currently collect email addresses for a newsletter.

Third parties that load in your browser

To work, our pages load content directly from other companies. When that happens, those companies receive your IP address and technical details such as your browser and the page you are on, and they handle them under their own privacy policies:

Links to Polymarket, Kalshi and news sites take you off predictionwave. Their own privacy policies apply from that point.

Why we use it

Under UK and EU data protection law we need a legal basis. Ours are:

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site (for example our hosting provider and our email provider), with the third parties described above that your browser contacts directly, and with authorities where the law requires.

Transfers outside the UK and EU

Some of these companies are based in, or process data in, the United States and other countries. Where personal data is transferred, we rely on the safeguards those providers use, such as adequacy decisions and standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Emails you send us are kept as long as needed to deal with your message and any follow-up, and then deleted or archived securely. Hosting and security logs are kept by our provider for the period set in its own policy.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to give you a copy of your personal data, correct it, delete it, restrict or stop our use of it, or send it to you in a portable format. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interests. To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We may need to confirm who you are first.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or to the data protection authority where you live. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Cookies and local storage

Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_…) to tell visits apart and count returning visitors. They last up to two years. You can block or delete them in your browser settings or with Google’s opt-out add-on, and the site works the same without them.

Apart from that, our own code does not set cookies. It stores one item, pw-theme, in your browser’s local storage, only if you choose light or dark mode. It is used just to remember that choice. You can clear it in your browser settings at any time.

Third-party content, such as embedded Polymarket charts, may set its own cookies or use similar technologies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some embedded content may then not work.

Children

predictionwave is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change how we handle data, for example by adding a newsletter, we will update this policy and its date before the change takes effect.
